April 2016

Despite the difficult climate of continuing cuts to public funding for public institutions, the Eagle Gallery is delighted that over the past year we have made significant sales of our represented artists’ work to major international institutions including the Museum Pfalzgalerie, Kaiserslautern; the Victoria and Albert Museum, and the Yale Center for British Art, USA.

Corporate collections Fidelity and Penguin Books, have acquired works by Mandy Bonnell and Carolyn Thompson, respectively.

Julia Farrer’s new etchings Snare I & II 2016 have been purchased by Fidelity, and Carolyn Thompson’s triptych Night Terrors 2016, by the Laurence Sterne Trust, Shandy Hall.

Both publications have been shortlisted for inclusion in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2016, alongside works by other Eagle Gallery artists Denise de Cordova and James Fisher.
