KEVIN FINKLEA

Kevin Finklea was born in the US in 1958. He studied at Temple University, Philadelphia and graduated from the University’s Tyler School of Art in 1982.

Finklea has had 12 solo and 2 two-person shows to date. His first solo exhibitions were held at Schmidt-Dean Gallery, Philadelphia (1994) and Condeso-Lawler Gallery, New York (1996). Other solo shows include Margaret Thatcher Projects, New York (2000, 2005, 2010) and Pentimenti Gallery, Philadelphia (2004, 2007, 2011). He has participated in many group exhibitions internationally including 25 Years Conny Dietzschold Gallery Sydney; Seriel, Art Forum Ute Barth, Zürich (2013); and Abstraction from the Collection Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, Philadelphia (2009).

Finklea first exhibited with the Eagle Gallery in Miniatures (2002) and in the subsequent exhibitions Bending Space (2006) and Calligrams (2010).

Finklea’s work is held in public and private collections around the world, including Bridgepoint Capital, London; Wilmington Trust Fund, New York; and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, Philadelphia.
