The Eagle Gallery is delighted to be hosting the first of two related exhibitions, featuring contemporary paintings by established and emerging artists from the UK and Ireland. Exchange: Dublin / London showcases a group of Irish artists represented by The Paul Kane Gallery, Dublin, who will be reciprocating with an exhibition of artists from the Eagle Gallery, that takes place in Dublin from 30 March - 19 April.
The exhibitions are co-curated by Paul Kane and Emma Hill.

Veronica Bolay exhibits recent canvases, based on the landscapes of Co. Kerry and Co. Mayo. Her vibrant paintings are evocative statements about our relationship to place and space. Chris Doris (known for his multi media collages, performances and installation work) exhibits a sequence of subtle, abstracted images entitled Wave. Marc Reilly's large-scale minimal canvases are from a series recently shown at a very successful solo exhibition with Paul Kane, and reveal the artist's sensitive explorations of line and form.
Philippa Sutherland's small, intimate canvases are suggestive of memories or moments of film, captured and frozen. Brian Garvey's delicately worked paintings originate from images of exploration culled from the internet. He posits the idea that the artist is much like an adventurer - venturing into unknown territories in order to experience.
