PETER RASMUSSEN

Peter Rasmussen was born in London and studied Fine Art at Chelsea School of Art from 1972-77. Since graduating he has lived and worked in Berlin, Madrid and Barcelona and, since 1996, in London. He has been awarded international residencies including Vermont Studio Center, USA (2002); Cill Rialaig Project, County Kerry, Ireland (2001); and a Delfina Studio Award, Andalusia, Spain (1992 – 1993).

He has shown in numerous international group exhibitions and his solo shows since 1991 include: Galerie Weber, Berlin (1991); Galerie Clara 90, Berlin (1992); Galerie Behrendt, Berlin (1994); Geo Galerie, Gesellschaft fur Erdkunde zu Berlin, Germany (1997); Rules of the Game Eagle Gallery, London (2006); Doubletake Eagle Gallery, London (2009) and In the Penalty Area Campden Gallery, Gloucestershire (2010). His most recent solo exhibition Disparates was held at the Eagle Gallery in 2014.

Rasmussen’s work is in many private collections and he undertook a number of painting commissions for the Arts Council, Senat Berlin between 1991 and 1998.
