Panel Paintings 3: Diptych is the third iteration of an occasional exhibition curated by the Eagle Gallery which is distinguished by the simple parameter that all the works exhibited are made as paintings on wooden supports, rather than on canvas.

Bringing together recent work by nine leading UK and US abstract artists, the exhibition plays with the form of the ‘diptych’, inviting the artists to respond to the possibilities of reflected, reiterated or contrasted imagery – or structures which question the conventions of two-dimensional form.
