The View From Now Here

22 October – 20 November 2015

The View from Now Here is Graeme Todd’s first solo exhibition in London since 2010, and focuses on a series of recent images that are derived in part, from the landscape around Dunbar where he lives.

Todd is known for highly seductive paintings that incorporate passages of drawing, with layers of acrylic, marker pen and varnish. His images have motifs that refer to actual geographies and histories, which are combined with a more personal and surreal calligraphy. Todd’s landscapes are metaphorical places in which different kinds of language and space can co-exist.

The exhibition is co-curated by Andrew Mummery.
