Thursday 9 October 2025, 11-6pm
The Eagle Gallery is delighted to host a one day salon exhibition of drawings and prints by Jane Joseph (1942 – 2025) on Thursday 9 October, 11-6pm, in association with Benjamin Rhodes Arts.
Joseph was a renowned printmaker whose work is held in the collections of the Ashmolean, Oxford; British Library, London; British Museum, London; Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge; Government Art Collection, London and Yale Center for British Art, CT, USA, amongst others. In 1999 she was commissioned by the Folio Society to make images for editions of Primo Levi’s If This is A Man and The Truce which were shown in exhibitions in the UK and USA.
The selection of small scale works reminds of Joseph’s consummate skill in the mediums of etching and drypoint, with examples of botanical studies, urban scenes of the River Thames and sky-scapes over west London. It includes rare last copies of drypoints from her artist’s book A Little Flora and a number of unique pencil drawings of London.
This one off event is a rare opportunity to purchase works from this highly distinguished artist.
